Cleveland Charge News Release


The Canton Charge, presented by SecureData 365 and powered by the Cleveland Cavaliers, announced that forward/center Michael Dunigan has opted to accept a buyout and play with Barangay Ginebra San Miguel of the PBL (Philippines). The roster now stands at 11, with 10 active players and one on the inactive list.

"We would like to thank Michael for all of the hard work and dedication to the Charge that he showed since arriving here in Canton," said Cavaliers Director of Development League Operations Mike Gansey. "He was a tremendous presence both in the locker room and on the floor, and we wish him the best of luck in his decision to go play overseas."

Dunigan played in 23 games with Canton (18 starts), and averaged 11.8 points on .573 shooting with 7.4 rebounds and 1.4 blocks in 31.0 minutes per game. The Charge will retain Dunigan's player rights in the D-League for the next two seasons.

Canton stays home for a pair of games next weekend, beginning Friday, January 30th at 7:00 p.m. when they host the Maine Red Claws (Boston Celtics affiliate) for Dollar Dog Night presented by Sugardale! The Charge will then host the Erie BayHawks (Orlando Magic affiliate) for Cavs Night on Saturday, January 31st at 7:00 p.m. for a contest that features a Cavs t-shirt giveaway, special Cavs jerseys to be auctioned off in-game, Cavs Legends, Cavalier Girls, the Scream Team, and more!
