
Santa Cruz's Ronald Roberts Named NBA Development League Performer of the Week

NEW YORK, Jan. 26, 2015 - Santa Cruz Warriors forward Ronald Roberts was today named NBA Development League Performer of the Week for games played Monday, Jan. 19 - Sunday, Jan. 25. The award is the first for Roberts, who was traded to Santa Cruz from the Delaware 87ers on Jan. 21.
Roberts (6-8, 225, St. Joseph's) led Santa Cruz to a 2-0 record last week, averaging 29.5 points on 78 percent shooting (25-of-32) from the floor, to go with 13.5 rebounds and 2.0 blocks. He scored 39 points and pulled down 19 rebounds, both Santa Cruz team bests this season, in a 127-111 win over the Reno Bighorns on Jan. 23, having scored 20 points and grabbed eight boards in his Warriors debut on Jan. 21.
Roberts, who earned a GATORADE Call-Up from the 87ers to the Philadelphia 76ers earlier this season, is averaging 17.5 points and 11.9 rebounds in 10 games with the Warriors and Sevens.
Other top performers considered included Austin's Kyle Anderson, Bakersfield's T.J. Warren, Delaware's D.J. Seeley, Fort Wayne's Andre Emmett, Iowa's Jordan Adams, Oklahoma City's Reggie Williams, Reno's Jordan Hamilton, Rio Grande Valley's Clint Capela and Texas' Doron Lamb.
