Canaries World Series Party next Tuesday

Sioux Falls, SD - The Sioux Falls Canaries will host their 3rd Annual World Series Party on Tuesday, October 24 at 7 p.m. The party will take place in the team's clubhouse, where fans will be able to enjoy free food and drinks while watching Game 3 of the World Series. The Canaries ask that all fans bring a non-perishable food item to donate to the Salvation Army's Big Red Bucket Food Drive.

"The World Series Party provides us with one more chance to get together with our fans and enjoy baseball," said Canaries General Manager Matt Hansen. "This year we are tying in the Salvation Army's Big Red Bucket Food Drive to get an early start on helping feed Sioux Empire families in need this Thanksgiving."

Food items brought to the event should be boxed or jarred. Items the Canaries are looking for include:

Gift Certificate for Turkey/Ham Canned Vegetables (2)

Bisquick Cranberry Sauce

Potatoes (boxed) Olives or Pickles

Gravy Chicken Broth

Canned or Powdered Milk Pumpkin Pie Filling (sweetened)

Stuffing Mix Pie Crust (ready-made)

Yams (2) Holiday Cookies

Rice Aluminum Roasting Pans

Beans (3)

Fans who would like to donate food, but are unable to attend the Canaries holiday party, can bring food items to the Canaries offices, located at the Birdcage, anytime before November 17.
