
Canaries To Hold Open Tryout On April 30

SIOUX FALLS, SD (April 23, 2009) - The Sioux Falls Canaries will hold an open tryout at Sioux Falls Stadium on April 30 at 5 p.m. The tryout will provide the Canaries one final opportunity to discover available talent that can be added to the team's roster before the team's pre-season camp opens on May 2.
Participants at the tryout will be required to sign a medical liability waiver, and pay a $5 waiver fee. Other than the waiver fee, there will be no additional cost to the tryout.
The Canaries will play an exhibition game against an Amateur All-Star Team in Mitchell on May 2, before hosting the University of Sioux Falls in an exhibition game on May 5. The Canaries open the 2009 American Association Season at the Birdcage with a May 14 game against the St. Paul Saints. The Season Premier will feature a Pre-Game Championship Ring Ceremony and a Post-Game Fireworks Display presented by the Canaries 2009 Season Sponsor, First PREMIER Bank and PREMIER Bankcard.
