Shreveport-Bossier Captains News Release

SHREVEPORT, La. - A big piece of the Shreveport-Bossier Captains' concessions operation was put into place today as the club announced a three-year agreement with PepsiAmericas to serve Pepsi products at Fair Grounds Field, featuring Pepsi, Diet Pepsi, Sierra Mist, Mountain Dew, and Aquafina water.

"PepsiAmericas is very excited to be a part of the rebirth of the Shreveport-Bossier Captains," said Brian McCabe, PepsiAmericas food sales representative. "We look forward to a great partnership together over the next few years."

This move is part of a larger overhaul of the Captains' concessions operations for 2009, which will offer an upgraded menu, renovated facilities, and a new management team.

Pepsi is also sponsoring several "shirt off our backs" nights, where the Captains' uniform shirts for the evening will be auctioned off after the game, and offering the Captains opportunities to be part of radio advertising and on can panels throughout the area.

"I want to personally thank Brian McCabe for stepping up and really taking control of our account," Shreveport-Bossier VP/general manager Craig Brasfield said. "I feel that the Captains are on the right track to success, and I am confident that there isn't a better partner out there than Pepsi to make sure that our fans get the best refreshments during the next three years."

The Shreveport-Bossier Captains open the 2009 season in Pensacola on May 14, and will be on the road for the first series of their 2009 campaign. All games will be broadcast on ESPN Radio, KRMD-1340 AM as well as streaming live on supertalk1340.com, with streaming video provided by NiftyTV on www.sbcaptains.com. The Shreveport-Bossier Captains' first game at Fair Grounds Field will be on May 19 against Grand Prairie. For information on tickets, promotions, advertising, and other opportunities with the Captains, check out the team's Web site at www.sbcaptains.com, or call the Fair Grounds Field office at (318) 636-5555.
