Sioux Falls, SD - The Sioux Falls Canaries have signed utility infielder Troy Wasiloski, a three time All-North Central Conference selection from the University of North Dakota.
Wasiloski played all 41 games for the Fighting Sioux in 2006. He hit .394 with seven homers and 40 RBI in his senior season. Over four years, Wasiloski totaled 50 doubles, 28 homers and 140 RBI at the University of North Dakota.
"We are always looking to give an opportunity to talented players from the local area," said Canaries Manager Steve Shirley. "Troy can swing the bat very well, and will have a chance to contribute to the Canaries this summer."
Wasiloski is currently working on finishing up his bachelor's degree and will serve as an assistant coach for the Fighting Sioux this spring.
