Canadiens Recall Max Pacioretty from Bulldogs

MONTREAL, QC - The Montreal Canadiens announced today that left wing Max Pacioretty has been recalled from the Hamilton Bulldogs while centre David Desharnais has been returned from the Canadiens to the 'Dogs.
Pacioretty, 22, has appeared in 27 games with the Bulldogs this season and is tied for first on the 'Dogs and tied for second in the AHL with 32 points (17 goals, 15 assists). He currently leads the league in goals and is tied for second in the AHL with seven power-play goals. Pacioretty was named the Reebok/AHL Player of the Month for November after posting 17 points (10 goals, seven assists) in 13 games during the month. The 6-foot-2, 208-pound left winger played in 52 games with the Canadiens last season recording 14 points (three goals, 11 assists) and serving 20 penalty minutes. The native of New Canaan, Connecticut was drafted by Montreal in the 1st round, 22nd overall in the 2007 NHL Entry Draft.
Desharnais, 24, has played in 27 games with Hamilton this season registering 32 points (seven goals, 25 assists) and 16 penalty minutes. The native of Quebec City is currently tied for first on the 'Dogs and tied for second in the AHL in points while leading the AHL in assists. The 5-foot-7, 170 pound centre played in six games with Montreal last season recording one assist. Desharnais also set a franchise record for most points in a season last year with the 'Dogs when he posted 78 points (27 goals, 51 assists) in 60 games.
The 'Dogs will host their final home game before Christmas on Tuesday, December 14th when they welcome the Houston Aeros to Copps Coliseum. All regular season Hamilton Bulldogs broadcasts on AM 820 CHAM will begin with a pre-game show 30 minutes prior to the scheduled start time.
