
Canadiens Recall Jarred Tinordi

MONTREAL, QUE - Montreal Canadiens and Hamilton Bulldogs General Manager Marc Bergevin announced today that the Canadiens have recalled defenceman Jarred Tinordi from the Bulldogs.
Tinordi, 21, has played 55 games for the Bulldogs this season recording 11 points (2 goals, 9 assists) and 51 penalty minutes. Tinordi played two seasons for the London Knights of the Ontario Hockey League from 2010-2012 posting 30 points (3 goals, 27 assists), a +31 rating and 203 penalty minutes in 111 regular season games, while leading the OHL in plus/minus during the 2011-2012 season with a +39 rating. The native of Burnsville, Minnesota helped lead the Knights to an OHL Championship and a Memorial Cup appearance in 2012 while registering eight points (3 goals, 5 assists), a +15 rating and 27 penalty minutes in 19 post-season games. The 6'6", 218-pound defenceman spent the 2009-2010 season with the United States National Under-18 Team in the United States Hockey League notching nine points (4 goals, 5 assists), a +14 rating and 68 penalty minutes in 26 regular season games. Tinordi was originally drafted by the Canadiens in the 1st round, 22nd overall in the 2010 NHL Entry Draft.
The Bulldogs' next game is against the IceCaps in St. John's on Friday, March 15th at 7:00 p.m. All 'Dogs games will be broadcast on Hamilton's Funny 820 (AM 820).
