Canadiens Recall Aaron Palushaj from Bulldogs

MONTREAL, QC - The Montreal Canadiens announced tonight that right-winger Aaron Palushaj has been recalled from the Hamilton Bulldogs. Palushaj will join the Canadiens for tomorrow's game against the New York Islanders.

Palushaj, 22, has played in 17 games for Montreal this season. He notched one assist, his first career NHL point, on Sunday, February 5th, 2012 against the Winnipeg Jets. The 5-foot-11, 188-pound forward recorded 12 shots on goal, four blocked shots and 13 hits, while averaging 7:02 of ice time per game. The Livonia, Michigan native has suited up for 30 games with the Bulldogs this season, and leads the team with 28 points (13 goals, 15 assists) and has recorded 102 shots on goal.

The Bulldogs will host the Albany Devils on Friday, February 10th, 2012 at 7:30 p.m. at Copps Coliseum before travelling to Toronto to take on the Marlies on Saturday, February 11th, 2012 at 3 p.m. at Ricoh Coliseum. The 'Dogs return to Copps Coliseum on Sunday, February 12th, 2012 to battle the Texas Stars at 3 p.m.
