
Canadiens Reassign Condon to Nailers

MONTREAL, QUEBEC - Montreal Canadiens and Hamilton Bulldogs General Manager Marc Bergevin announced today goaltender Mike Condon has been reassigned to the ECHL's Wheeling Nailers from the Bulldogs.
Condon has split this season between Hamilton and Wheeling. In three games with Hamilton, the Needham, Massachusetts native has a record of 1-1-0 with a 2.48 goals-against average and .909 save percentage. In 32 games with Wheeling, the 6'3", 195-pound goaltender has a record of 17-11-4 with a 2.47 goals-against average, .921 save percentage and two shutouts. He currently ranks in the top-10 in the ECHL in wins, save percentage, minutes played and saves.
The 23-year-old spent last season with the National Collegiate Athletic Association's Princeton University Tigers, the ECHL's Ontario Reign and the American Hockey League's Houston Aeros. In 24 regular season games with Princeton, he had a record of 8-11-4 with a 2.48 goals-against average, .923 save percentage and two shutouts. In four regular season games with Ontario, he posted a record of 3-1-0 with a 1.48 goals-against average, .943 save percentage and one shutout. In five regular season games with Houston, he had a record of 3-0-0 with a 2.39 goals-against average and .919 save percentage. Condon was signed by the Montreal Canadiens as a free agent on May 8th, 2013.
Hamilton's next game is scheduled for Friday, March 14th when the 'Dogs will visit the Wilkes-Barre / Scranton Penguins (AHL affiliate of the Pittsburgh Penguins) at Mohegan Sun Arena at Casey Plaza in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania at 7:05 p.m. The Bulldogs return to FirstOntario Centre on Wednesday, March 19th, when they will host the Abbotsford Heat (AHL affiliate of the Calgary Flames) at 7:30 p.m.
