Blair Riley scored the game-winning goal and Julian Melchiori notched his first of the season, as the IceCaps downed the Sound Tigers 3-2 at Mile One Centre to set a franchise-record with seven consecutive victories. Jerome Samson also scored for St. John's, which tied a club record with points in eight straight. Michael Hutchinson was strong between the pipes, stopping 22-of-24, while Jason Jaffray pitched in with two assists.
The IceCaps outshot the Sound Tigers 24- 4 in the opening period - a new record for shots in a period - and 39- 24 overall.

Adam Lowry scored the game-winner with 25 seconds left in OT to lift the red-hot IceCaps to a 3-2 win - their eighth straight - over the Sound Tigers at Mile One Centre. Eric O'Dell and Andrew Gordon had the other tallies for St. John's, while Michael Hutchinson stopped 15- of-17 shots to post the win.
The IceCaps also set a new team record by collecting a point in their ninth straight game.
St. John's outshot Bridgeport 37-17 in the game and 76-41 in the series.

Jersey Giveway: The St. John's IceCaps and Pepsi Next will be giving away five, game-worn IceCaps St. Paddy's Day jerseys in a first intermission challenge during the IceCaps' Friday, March 14th home game versus the Portland Pirates. To qualify for the intermission challenge, simply visit the IceCaps facebook page ( www.facebook.com/stjohnsicecaps ) and enter through the Pepsi Next app. Participants will be chosen at random from a list of all entrants. Additionally, winners of the 'Guess the IceCap' contest during home games through to March 14th will also qualify for the intermission challenge. The IceCap player must be identified in the first guess to win. Winners of the intermission challenge will be presented one of the game-worn, white and green jerseys by a player at the conclusion of the game.
