Starting pitcher Brian Rodaway allowed only two hits over six innings to earn the Surf a 4-0 win. The Surf bullpen gave up just one hit to support Rodaway and hold down the Rox. 2B Josh Renick went 2-for-4 and scored twice to lead the Surf and LF Ed Montague hit a two-run homer in the ninth inning for some insurance runs. The win allows Atlantic City to move their record to 5-2 early in the season.

HR: NAS - Bryan Duplissie (1)

DH Bryan Duplissie hit a go-ahead three-run home run in the bottom of the sixth inning to allow the Pride to top the Skyhawks 5-3. Duplissie's home run came after Olmo Rosario reached on an error and Matt Creighton singled. Tim Bausher fanned eight batters over six innings of work to pick up the win for the Pride and even their record at 3-3. Rob Gandolfo led Sussex with three hits, including a double, as the Skyhawks fall to 1-5.

Quebec 9, New Jersey 7

Quebec plated five runs in the top of the seventh inning to rally from a 7-3 deficit and win 9-7. Sandy Madera hit a two-run home run in the fifth for New Jersey, but Quebec responded in the seventh with a two-RBI triple by C Greg Stevens and an RBI double by LF Nick Trainor. The two teams combined for 28 hits, including three each from Quebec CF Goefrey Tomlinson, 2B Boomer Berry and Trainor. Quebec improves to 5-1 on the young season and takes sole possession of first place.
