Brockton would roll out to an 8-0 lead through three innings and cruise from there to a 12-1 rout of Worcester. Win the win, Brockton pulls to within a game of first place Quebec. The Rox hammered out 13 hits in the game with DH Guye Senjem and CF Brad Rosenblat each having 2-for-4 nights with Senjem driving in three runs and Rosenblat knocking in four runs. Both Senjem and Rosenblat each hit home runs as well. Rolando Viera won his seventh game of the season for the Rox going seven innings allowing one earned run on four hits with three strikeouts. For the Tornadoes tonight, 1B Chris Colabello had a 1-for-4 game with a run scored.

North Shore 5, Sussex 4

SS Chris Rowan's RBI triple in the bottom of the eighth inning broke a 4-4 tie and helped the Spirit to victory over the Skyhawks. DH Alex Trezza and 1B Jeff Brooks were the stars at the plate for North Shore as they combined to go 4-for-7 with three runs scored and an RBI. Trezza hit his 14th home run of the season, which is still tops in the league. Dennis Robinson was the winning pitcher for North Shore pitching a scoreless seventh and eighth inning and striking out one Sussex batter. The win put Robinson's record at 4-4. Kevin Fitzgerald came on in the ninth to notch his 14th save of the year, which is good for a tie for first in the league in saves with Andy Weimer of New Haven County.

New Haven County 11, Quebec 2

LF Horace Lawrence and C Sandy DeLeon went a combined 6-for-10 with with two runs scored and two RBI in leading the Cutters to an easy win over the Capitales. The Cutters notch their 14th win of the second half and move to within only a half game of Quebec. New Haven County scored two runs in the first inning and seven more in the second inning to go out a 9-0 lead where they would never look back. Courtney Hall gets the win, his second of the season, going seven strong innings giving up only two earned runs on nine hits with two strikeouts. CF Geofrey Tomlinson had a three-hit outing for Quebec.

Nashua 6, New Jersey 5

Nashua went out to a 5-0 lead through three innings and had to hold off a furious New Jersey rally to win by a run and get their third win in a row. DH Larry Bethea continued his hot hitting for the Pride going 2-for-4 with two runs scored and two RBI, including his 12th home run of the season. 1B Brian Becher also chipped in with two hits as well along with two RBI. Jarrad Lavergne picked up his fourth win of the season, going 5 1/3 innings allowing three earned runs on six hits with a strikeout. Pride closer Derrick DePriest got his 10th save of the season, which is good for five best in the Can-Am.
