New Haven County 10, North Shore 5

New Haven County jumped out to a big 6-0 lead through three innings and rolled on to a win over the Spirit and broke a two-game losing streak. The Cutters had 14 hits in the game with the Terni brothers, Jeremy and Chas leading the way going 4-for-8 with five runs scored and four RBI. Jeremy also hit a three-run home run in the ninth inning, his sixth of the season. Cutters' starter Rolando Valles pushed his record over the .500 mark at 6-5 going 7 2/3 innings allowing five earned runs on 11 hits with three strikeouts. Andy Weimer picked up his 14th save of the season, which leads the league. 3B Vic Davilla and DH Andrew Wishy for North Shore both had three hits with each scoring a run.

Brockton 4, Quebec 3

Trailing 3-0, Brockton charged back with three runs in the fourth inning to tie the game and one more run in the ninth inning to edge the Capitales. Rox starting pitcher John Kelly had a solid outing allowing three runs, two earned, on seven hits and struck out six through seven innings, but did not factor in the decision. After reliever John Boker held the Capitales scoreless in the eighth, closer Jon Koch came on in the ninth and nailed down his 12th save of the year. C Jason Radwan led the Rox at the plate going 2-for-3, including his 10th double, with a run scored and two RBIs. Quebec's Eddie Lantigua had half of his team's eight hits, going a perfect 4-for-4 with a run scored and an RBI.

New Jersey 6, Sussex 5

The Jackals pounded out 16 hits en route to their 11th win of the second half. Every position player except one recorded a hit in the game led by LF Jason Tuttle, who was 3-for-5 with a run scored and an RBI, and C Clay Kuklick, who was 3-for-5 with two RBIs. Jackals DH Joey Gomes was 1-for-4, his only hit a solo home run, his first of the season. New Jersey fought back from a 4-1 deficit to take a 5-4 lead into the ninth, but Sussex scored to tie the game at 5-5. Then in the bottom half of the inning New Jersey loaded the bases and then plated the winning run.

Nashua 6, Worcester 4

The Nashua Pride were able to hold off a late Worcester rally to improve to 11-11 in the second half thanks, in large part, to starting pitcher Josh Stevens. The right-hander allowed just one run on a walk and two hits while striking out 10 through eight innings to notch his second win of the season. 1B Billy Becher led the Pride at the plate going 3-for-5, including his eighth home run, with a run scored and an RBI.
