New Haven County jumped out to a big 6-0 lead through three innings and rolled on to a win over the Spirit and broke a two-game losing streak. The Cutters had 14 hits in the game with the Terni brothers, Jeremy and Chas leading the way going 4-for-8 with five runs scored and four RBI. Jeremy also hit a three-run home run in the ninth inning, his sixth of the season. Cutters' starter Rolando Valles pushed his record over the .500 mark at 6-5 going 7 2/3 innings allowing five earned runs on 11 hits with three strikeouts. Andy Weimer picked up his 14th save of the season, which now leads the league. 3B Vic Davilla and DH Andrew Wishy for North Shore both had three hits with each scoring a run.
