North Shore 2, Brockton 1

North Shore managed just two runs despite 11 hits in the contest, but that proved enough for starting pitcher Chris Farley, who was great through 8 1/3 innings. Farley allowed one unearned run on five hits and struck out four to improve his record to 5-2 on the season. With the win, North Shore improves to 2-0 in the second half. The loss for Brockton was its fifth in a row. Brockton starter Brad Guy got the hard luck loss, allowing two runs, one earned, on nine hits through seven innings of work. Spirit 1B Jeff Brooks led the offensive effort, going 3-for-4 with an RBI. C Jon DeVries drove in the only other run for North Shore. He was 2-for-4 in the win.

Nashua 4, Sussex 1

Nashua starting pitcher Dan Reichert did his best to keep the Pride atop the standings with allowing just one earned run on three hits through seven innings of work to improve Nashua's record to 3-0 in the second half. In recording the win, his fifth this season, Reichert fanned 11 Skyhawks. Nashua LF Bryan Duplissie provided plenty of support for his starter. Duplissie was 2-for-4, including his second home run of the year, and drove in all four Nashua runs. Right-hander Derrick DePriest came on to pitch a perfect ninth to record his third save. SS Robert LeNoir accounted for half of his team's four hits with a 2-for-4 night in the losing effort.

New Haven County 9, New Jersey 2

New Haven County continued to take impressive strides toward staying atop the Can-Am League. The win was the second in as many games of the second half and ran the Cutters' win-streak to four games. Starting pitcher Jarrett Stawarz was efficient through 5 2/3 innings, allowing two runs, both earned, on seven hits and five strikeouts. Stawarz improves to 3-3 on the year with the win. LF Horace Lawrence led the Cutters at the plate, going 3-for-4 with three runs scored and an RBI. DH Derrick Gibson also had three hits and two others recorded at least two. DH John Lindsey was the only player to manage more than one hit for New Jersey in the loss. He was 2-for-4.

Quebec 10, Worcester 3

Quebec got off to a good start with a six run first inning and never trailed in the game. Capitales starting pitcher Keith Dunn was solid through six innings. He allowed three runs, two earned, on six hits and did not issue a walk to pick up his third win of the year. LF Simon Legare led the offensive effort for Quebec, going 3-for-4 with two runs scored and two RBIs. RF Nestor Smith and 3B Alex Garcia each went 3-for-5 and combined to drive in three runs. Worcester managed six hits as a team and did not have a player record more than one in the loss.
