Quebec 1B Eddie Lantigua and C Olivier Lepine combined for seven hits and two RBI to help the Capitales past North Shore and even the series at 1-1. RF Simon Legare also had a big night at the plate for Quebec, getting two hits and two RBI of his own. Relief pitcher T.J. Stanton took over for starter Keith Dunn in the fifth inning and pitched three shutout innings to get the win. Stanton allowed just one hit over his three innings of work. For North Shore, eight different batters had a hit in the game. RF Andrew Wishy and LF Luis Sabino led the way as each doubled and drove in a run in the game. For game three, the series shifts to Quebec and will pit North Shore's Sam Smith (7-7) against Quebec's Gabe Ribas (10-3). The game is scheduled for a 7:05 p.m. start Friday night.

Brockton bounced back from its 8-1 loss in game one to take a 2-1 victory over New Haven County and even the series at 1-1. Pitching was the story in this game as the teams only managed nine hits combined. Starting pitcher John Kelly pitched a complete game, allowing one run on four hits while striking out seven to pick up the win. At the plate for the Rox, 1B Francisco Lebron homered to tie the game in the seventh inning. SS Mike Scanzano went 1-for-3 and drove in the go ahead run in the eighth with an RBI single. New Haven County starting pitcher Justin Knoff was impressive, allowing just two hits over six shutout innings, before leaving the game. RF Orlando Encarnacion provided all the offense for the Cutters, going 1-for-3 with a solo homerun. The series now moves to Brockton as New Haven County's Courtney Hall (5-4) will face Brockton's Rolando Viera (9-7) in game three Friday at 7:05 p.m.
