
Can-Am League announces 2006 Post-Season All-Star Team

DURHAM, NC--The Can-Am League today announced its 2006 Post-Season All-Star Team as selected by the eight league managers and media representatives. The 12-member team was led by the six selections of the first and second half winners, the North Shore Spirit.
2006 POST-SEASON ALL-STAR TEAM (League leading statistics in parentheses):
CATCHER
Alex Trezza, North Shore Spirit - Had 19 HR (1st) with 36 extra base hits (2nd) and a .544 slugging percentage (2nd).
1ST BASE
Vic Davilla, North Shore Spirit - Hit 12 HR (4th) with 61 RBIs (T-1st), 56 runs scored (4th), and a .403 on-base percentage (2nd). [Can-Am League Player of the Year]
2ND BASE
Ricardo Cordova, North Shore Spirit - Hit .306 (6th) with 88 hits, 41 RBIs, and 15 doubles. [Four-team totals: Also played with the Nashua Pride, Worcester Tornadoes, and New Jersey Jackals]
3RD BASE
Eddie Lantigua, Quebec Capitales - Hit .343 (1st) with 61 RBIs (T-1st), 38 extra base hits (1st), and a .547 slugging percentage (1st).
SHORTSTOP
Chris Rowan, North Shore Spirit - Hit .273 with 8 HR, 35 RBIs, and a slugging percentage of .472.
OUTFIELD
Josh Beauregard, Worcester Tornadoes - Hit .274 with eight triples (1st), 63 runs scored (T-1st), and a .413 slugging percentage.
OUTFIELD
Jason Tuttle, New Jersey Jackals - Hit .303 (8th) with 105 hits (T-1st), 21 SB, and 46 runs scored.
OUTFIELD
Horace Lawrence, New Haven County Cutters - Hit .318 (3rd) with 99 hits (5th), 24 SB, and a .441 slugging percentage.
DESIGNATED HITTER
Guye Senjem, Brockton Rox - Hit 14 HR (T-2nd) with 55 RBIs (4th), 93 hits, and 48 runs scored.
LHP
Bryan Morse, North Shore Spirit - 11-5 (1st in wins) with a 2.16 ERA (2nd), five complete games (T-1st), and 87 SO (5th) in 117 innings pitched.
RHP
Gabe Ribas, Quebec Capitales - 10-3 (T-2nd in wins) with a 2.84 ERA (7th), and 106 SO (2nd) in 133 innings pitched.
RELIEF PITCHER
Kevin Fitzgerald, North Shore Spirit - Had a 2.14 ERA with 27 saves (1st), and an opponent's batting average of .203.
