Pittsfield 9, New Jersey 0 (Game 1 - 7 Innings)
Pittsfield scored five runs in the first inning to take an early 5-0 lead and would cruise to a 9-0 win over the New Jersey Jackals in game one of the doubleheader. Colonials 2B Danny Bomback, 1B Angel Molina and 3B Johnny Welch each collected two hits while LF Billy Mottram hit his third home run of the season. Pittsfield starter Chad Paronto was sensational in picking up his first win of the season. Paronto tossed a complete game shutout allowing six hits while fanning four New Jersey batters.
New Jersey 4, Pittsfield 0 (Game 2 - 7 Innings)
New Jersey gained a split in the doubleheader as the Jackals, behind a solid effort from starter Isaac Pavlik, defeated the Pittsfield Colonials 4-0. Pavlik pitched a complete game allowing three walks and four hits while striking out five Pittsfield hitters. The southpaw moves his record to a perfect 4-0 on the season with the win. Offensively for New Jersey, 3B Nick Giarraputo went 2-for-3 with a home run and three RBIs.
