Worcester 5, Brockton 4

HR: WOR- Chris Colabello (9); BRO- Phillip Cuadrado (5), Lee Rubin (1)

Down 4-1 in the seventh inning, Worcester rallied to score four runs and beat Brockton 5-4. 1B Chris Colabello delivered the big hit for the Tornadoes as he launched a two-run homer to give Worcester the 5-4 lead. He finished the night 2-for-3 with three RBI. CF BJ Weed also had a big game going 2-for-4 with a double. Chandler Barnard notched his first win with a scoreless inning of relief. Rolando Viera had a 4-1 lead into the seventh inning but couldn't hang on and fell to 1-6. 3B Phillip Cuadrado and C Lee Rubin homered for the Rox in a losing effort.

Nashua 9, Sussex 4

Nashua used four runs in the third inning and four in the ninth to take care of Sussex 9-4. Jason Paul pitched a fine game going seven innings and allowing just four hits. He improves to 2-1 on the year. Sussex starting pitcher Kyle Ruwe had a rare rocky outing as he gave up 13 hits and seven earned runs to drop to 7-3. Pride RF Jeremy Pickrel had a monster game going 3-for-5 with a home run, four RBI, and two runs scored. CF Vinny Pennell also went 3-for-5, scored two, and drove in two runs. C Mike Torres had three hits as well. CF Ron Perodin led the Sussex offense with a 2-for-5 effort and two RBI.

Atlantic City 5, New Jersey 4

Atlantic City got a solid performance from starter JC Huguet and good work from their bullpen to hold off New Jersey 5-4. Huguet tossed six innings and gave up three runs and left with the score tied 3-3. The Jackals pulled starter Tom Atlee who'd allowed three runs in six innings in favor of Hunter Davis who could not keep the Surf's offense in check and allowed single runs in the eighth and ninth inning which proved to be the difference. Closer Walker Whitley earned his eighth save of the season with a 1-2-3 ninth inning. In defeat the Jackals got a fine performance by RF Marcos Rodriguez who led all hitters with a 4-for-4 night and an RBI.

Quebec 12, Ottawa 7 (10 Innings)

Quebec and Ottawa battled to a 7-7 tie after nine innings but the Capitales broke the game open with five runs in the top of the 10th to beat the Rapidz 12-7. Quebec tallied five hits in the extra frame including a two-RBI double by C Greg Stevens who went 2-for-5 on the night. The middle of the Quebec lineup did major damage in the contest as they combined to go 10-for-15 with four RBI and four runs scored. 2B Jean-Michel Rochon-Salvas pitched in with two hits, including his first homer of the year. Neither starting pitcher factored in the decision.
