
Camden Falls To Somerset

Camden Riversharks News Release
(July 14th, 2010- CAMDEN, NJ) The Camden Riversharks dropped the second game of the series against the Patriots 3-2. After coming back to tie the game in the sixth, the Sharks were unable to hold off the run scored late in the game. Carols Hines was awarded the win, while Travis Chick was charged with the loss this evening.
Somerset was the first to score again in tonight's game. Wayne Lydon doubled to start the inning. On Tim Raines Jr.'s at bat, Lydon proceeded to steal third. He rounded the base after catcher Korey Feiner over threw the ball into left field while attempting to put Lydon out.
Their second run Camden in the sixth. Elliot Ayala doubled and advanced on Teuris Olivares error that gave Wayne Lydon a free pass to first. Tim Raines Jr. followed hitting the ball into a fielder's choice situation put Lydon out at second and picking up an RBI off Ayala.
The Sharks tied up the game in the sixth frame. Feiner had a leadoff single to center field. Chris Walker followed by hitting a single between first and second. Teuris Olivares advanced the runners with a sacrifice bunt and Brian Burgamy was intentionally walked on his at bat. With the bases loaded Raul Padron hit the ball high towards first base where it got lost in the lights, making it possible for Padron to drive in the two trying runs.
Somerset went ahead in the eighth due to a Feiner error. With runners on first and second and attempting to steal, Feiner threw to third and the ball went into left allowing Joe Burke, who was pinch running for JR Hopf, to score.
The final game of the series against the Somerset Patriots will be played tomorrow at a special start time of 11:05am.
