May 29, 2022 - Major League Rugby (MLR)
NOLA Gold News Release
On Sunday, May 29th Cam Dolan became the twentieth player in Major League Rugby to take the pitch for 50 matches.
Cam Dolan began playing rugby at 17 years old when a high school classmate invited him to a practice. He took part in the USA's age-grade programs; including the High School and Colliegiate All-Americans and the U20's from 2007 -2013. Dolan earned his first cap against Fiji in 2013. Dolan signed with the Northampton Saints from 2013-2015 and then Cardiff Blues from 2015-2017.
Still a prominent member of the Eagle's, Dolan has 27 career caps, including 27 starts and has scored 11 tries. He played in all four Rugby World Cup matches in 2015.
He moved back to the states to play for San Diego Legion in the first MLR season in 2018. Signing with NOLA Gold the following season, he is now on his fourth season with the side.
Major League Rugby is honoring the first 50 players to reach 50 caps, and their role in building the legacy of MLR. The latest of the first seventeen players to reach 50 caps for MLR includes John Ryberg of the LA Giltinis, Faka'Osi Pifeleti and Jake Turnbull of the Austin Gilgronis and Nathan Sylvia of San Diego Legion.
