Calgary Roughnecks Take Down Colorado Mammoth 14-11

Calgary, AB - The Calgary Roughnecks took down Colorado Mammoth 14-11 Saturday night at the Scotiabank Saddledome in their final regular season home game, winning their season series with Colorado 2-1. With the win tonight, Calgary will host the Mammoth for the NLL Quarter Final match up at the Scotiabank Saddledome on Friday, May 6th at 7:30pm.

With the scoring even to start and both teams sitting at three after the first, Calgary pulled ahead thanks to five straight goals from Captain Curtis Dickson in the second quarter, with Tyler Pace and Jesse King each adding one to give Calgary a 9-3 lead at the half.

The Mammoth fought back in the final quarter, notching six to bring the visitors within one goal, however Calgary managed to hang onto the lead with two empty netters from Eli Salama and Mitch Wilde to end the game.

With three caused turnovers in the game, Zach Currier set a new NLL record for most CTO's in a single season with 62, breaking the previous record of 61 set by Kyle Rubisch in 2014.

Curtis Dickson was the top performer for Calgary's offence, ending the night with six goals and two assists. Tyler Pace also had a strong game finishing with six points (3g, 3a), whilst Haiden Dickson, Zach Herreweyers, Jesse King and Eli Salama adding one each to the board. Mitch Wilde also scored his first goal of the season.

The Roughnecks were outshot by Colorado 47-44. Christian Del Bianco made 36 saves to take the win.
