
Calgary Roughnecks Sign Peter McFetridge And Joel Henry

CALGARY, AB - Calgary Roughnecks President and General Manager Brad Banister announced today that the club has signed Peter McFetridge and Joel Henry to one year deals. Terms of the deals were not disclosed and are subject to league approval.
McFetridge, a 23-year-old defender, tallied three points (3g) in seven regular season games with the Roughnecks last season. In that time, the six-foot-three, 195 pound defenceman also collected 25 loose balls.
During the summer months, McFetridge plays alongside the New Westminster Sr. Salmonbellies. In 15 games with the Salmonbellies last season, the native of Vancouver, BC recorded 14 points, including six goals and eight assists. Henry, who is a product of Cochrane, AB, spent time on the Roughnecks practice roster last season, but didn't see any floor time.
The 21-year-old forward played for the Nanaimo Timbermen of the WLA during the summer months notching eight points, including five goals and three assists in four games. Henry was originally drafted in the fourth round, 42nd overall in the 2008 NLL Entry Draft.
The Calgary Roughnecks and Edmonton Rush are scheduled to hit Lethbridge's ENMAX Centre on Saturday, December 19th for an exhilarating exhibition matchup. Game time is 7:30 p.m. MST.
The Calgary Roughnecks kick-off the 2010 season on Sunday, January 10th at the Pengrowth Saddledome against the Minnesota Swarm.
