November 18, 2009 - National Lacrosse League (NLL)
Orlando Titans News Release

ORLANDO, Fla. (Nov. 18) -- MetroPCS, one of the nation's largest and most innovative providers of wireless communications services, has reached a major sponsorship agreement with the Orlando Titans.

As part of the all-encompassing partnership, MetroPCS becomes the Presenting Sponsor of the Titans for the 2010 season. In addition to becoming the official provider of wireless services to the Titans, MetroPCS will receive extensive exposure both inside and outside of Amway Arena.

"MetroPCS is excited to partner with the Orlando Titans in bringing professional lacrosse to Central Florida.  Just as MetroPCS has championed new ideas in unlimited, no contract wireless, we are now championing a new professional sport in Orlando.  Through the sponsorship with the Orlando Titans, MetroPCS will further our message of unlimited, affordable wireless with the many fans and families who come to see professional lacrosse," said Tom Gawronkski, VP/GM MetroPCS.

As part of the agreement, MetroPCS logos will appear on the Titans home and road game jerseys. MetroPCS will receive field logos and dasherboard signage during the upcoming season and have extensive print advertising in team publications, including yearbooks, schedule cards and game programs. Other in-arena advertising elements include jumbotron spots, public address announcements and commercials within Titans radio broadcasts. MetroPCS will also be granted direct access to Titans fans with concourse space inside Amway Arena.

Additional branding includes a MetroPCS link on www.orlandotitans.com. The agreement calls for numerous co-branding opportunities, including Titans players and cheerleader promotional appearances for MetroPCS during the course of the year. The wireless communications provider will also receive VIP and promotional tickets to Titans games.

"This is a terrific day for the Orlando Titans," team President Steve Donner said. "Although the National Lacrosse League has been in operation for more than 20 years, the Orlando Titans franchise is starting from scratch. To have one of the largest wireless communications companies in the United States want to partner with us in our first year is a tremendous development for the team. We are looking forward to working with them for the next 12 months and hopefully beyond."

The sponsorship with MetroPCS was the second major deal announced by the Titans this month. Earlier in November, the team reached an accord with Courtyard By Marriott to become the Titans official hotel. Financial terms of the agreement are not being released.

Orlando's newest professional sports franchise, the Titans begin the 2010 season on Jan. 8 in a home game against Philadelphia Wings.
