Calgary Roughnecks News Release
Calgary, AB - Derek Tom, a 6 ft. 2 in. forward, was today signed to a two year contract by Roughnecks General Manager, Kurt Silcott.
Toms, a born and bred Calgarian, spent the summer with the New Westminster Junior A team.
"He's only 21, so obviously is still a little raw," said Silcott. "But he knows how to find the net and he's is well worth taking a look at, even if it's just for his potential."
Tom, who weighs in at 195 lbs, made two appearances in the Founder's Cup while with the local Mountaineers club.
