Colorado Mammoth News Release
DENVER - The Colorado Mammoth welcomed back one of the National Lacrosse League's premier, young talents Wednesday when it re-signed goaltender Gee Nash to a one-year contract.
Nash, 27, has represented the West Division at the NLL All-Star Game the last two seasons. His career has flourished during his two years in Colorado, where he's had his best seasons in wins, goals-against average and save percentage.
"We're very pleased to have Gee Nash back on this team," Mammoth general manager Steve Govett said. "He's been so good and so consistent. It is a tremendous lift for our players to take the field every night knowing that their goaltender is going to give them a great chance to win."
Nash, the 2004 NLL goaltender of the year, led the league that season with a .790 save percentage and was a first-team All-Pro selection. He also set career bests with 11 wins and a 10.68 GAA.
The 6-foot, 190-pound native of Ajax, Ontario, was the No. 2 overall pick in the 1999 entry draft and played four seasons for the New York Saints before signing as a free agent with the Mammoth prior to the 2004 season.
