
Calgary Roughnecks Sign Jeff Shattler

Calgary, AB - Calgary Roughnecks General Manager Kurt Silcott announced today that forward Jeff Shattler has signed a one-year deal with the team. Terms and conditions were not disclosed.
Shattler, 22, was selected by Buffalo in the first round (10 overall) in the 2005 Entry Draft. The 6 - foot, 185lbs, Brampton, Ontario native currently plays for the Brampton Excelsiors of the Ontario Lacrosse Association Senior A league. In 17 regular season games Jeff notched 44 points (18 goals, 26 assists) and ended the season 4th on Brampton's scoring list tied with Blaine Manning of the Toronto Rock.
"Jeff is excited about his opportunity to play in this league. He has all the attributes to have a very successful career here in Calgary as a member of the Roughnecks", said Roughnecks General Manager Kurt Silcott. "He'll be moving here in October which shows his dedication and commitment to this team and to the city of Calgary. We look forward to seeing him suited up at the Dome in the near future."
Shattler was traded to Calgary along with a 2nd round draft pick in the 2007 NLL Entry Draft from the Buffalo Bandits in exchange for Kevin Dostie.
