CALGARY ROUGHNECKS Roughnecks Fall in West Division Final

Calgary, AB - The Washington Stealth edged the Calgary Roughnecks 14-13 Saturday evening at the Scotiabank Saddledome. The Stealth now advance to the NLL Championship Game against the Rochester Knighthawks.

Curtis Dickson led the Roughnecks with a historic second-half performance, scoring a franchise-high seven goals in a single playoff game. Dickson, who also added an assist, becomes the first player to notch seven goals in a playoff game since Buffalo's Mark Steenhuis in 2008.

Dane Dobbie posted a first-half hat trick and added two assists to finish the game with five points. Jeff Shattler had a hand in four goals, while Shawn Evans also registered four points with a goal and three assists. Scott Ranger and rookie Joe Resetarits, who netted one of Calgary's three shorthanded markers, each scored in the loss.

Athan Iannucci and Rhys Duch each recorded three goals and four assists for the Stealth, while Brett Bucktooth (2g, 2a), Lewis Ratcliff (1g, 3a) and Cliff Smith (1g, 3a) each posted a four-point effort in the win. Justin Salt (2g), Dean Hill (1g, 1a) and Tim Henderson (1g) rounded out the scoring for Washington.

Calgary goaltender Mike Poulin recorded 29 saves in the setback as the Roughnecks outshot the Stealth 52-43. Roughnecks' transition player Geoff Snider dominated brother Bob Snider in the face-off circle, winning 25 of 30 draws.

The Roughnecks finished atop the West Division, posting a 9-7 record over the 2013 NLL regular season. Calgary defeated the Colorado Mammoth 15-10 in the first round of the post-season, before advancing to the West Division Final against the Stealth.
