The Calgary Hitmen meet the Rebels for the first time in 54 days tonight with a stop in Red Deer at Western Park Centrium. Game time is 7:00 p.m. Calgary is coming off a weekend set with Lethbridge which saw the Hitmen take two of three by a combined score of 14-9. Sean Tschigerl (4g, 2a) led the Calgary scoring parade with six points while Josh Prokop, Cael Zimmerman and Adam Kydd all scored twice and added two assists for four points each. A total of 17 players notched at least a single point for the Hitmen who are 4-2-1 in their last seven games.

- Sean Tschigerl (8g, 5a) is riding a career high eight-game point streak. It's the longest run by any Hitmen player this season and longest since former captain Mark Kastelic (14g, 7a) rattled off a 13-game point streak last season from Feb. 9 - Mar. 6, 2020.

MAYFAIR DIAGNOSTICS INJURY REPORT: Conrad Mitchell (day-to-day, lower body).

ALUMNI WATCH: Egor Zamula, who played parts of three seasons in Calgary from 2017-18 to 2019-20, made his National Hockey League debut on Tuesday night for the Philadelphia Flyers. Ironically the blueliner was paired with another Hitmen alumnus in Travis Sanheim and played over 19 minutes while recording three shots on goal. Zamula tallied 95 career points with the Hitmen (19g, 76a) in 120 games.

PLAYER SPOTLIGHT: Forward Adam Kydd is in his second season with the Hitmen. The product of Regina, SK joined the organization as a protected list addition and was signed on September 1, 2019. Kydd, who was the Hitmen Chrysler Canada Inc. Scholastic Player of the Year in 2019-20, has appeared in 70 career WHL games recording 23 points (12g, 11a). His six goals this season have already tied a career high set in 53 games last season while his 11 points is just one off his total from his rookie campaign.

NEWS FEED: In light of the continuing COVID-19 pandemic while citing restrictions on travel across both provincial and international borders, the WHL has announced they will not be holding playoffs this season. Earlier this month the Canadian Hockey League also cancelled the 2021 Memorial Cup.
