
Calgary Flames Open 2008 Main Training Camp At The Pengrowth Saddledome

Calgary, AB - The Calgary Flames are set to open their 2008 Main Training Camp starting Friday, September 19th with fitness testing at the Pengrowth Saddledome.
The first on-ice sessions are scheduled for Saturday, September 20th with Group A starting at 9:00 am and Group B hitting the ice at 12:00 pm. A total of 53 players will be participating in the training camp (5 goalies, 16 defensemen and 32 forwards).
The Flames will play seven preseason games (4 home and 3 away) in preparation for the start of the 2008-09 season which begins with a home-and-home series with the Vancouver Canucks. The season opener is on Thursday, October 9th in Vancouver with the Flames home opener coming two nights later on Saturday, October 11th at the Pengrowth Saddledome.
