
Calfapietra Moving To Jersey

Gary SouthShore Railcats News Release
Gary, IN â The Gary SouthShore RailCats announced today that Manager, Joe Calfapietra is leaving the organization to become the manager of the New Jersey Jackals of the Northeast League â formerly known as the Northern League East â next season. Calfapietra will take over the reins of the Jackals immediately.
Calfapietra, the first manager in the history of the RailCats organization led the ball club to a 35-55 record during the 2002 season.
The search for Calfapietra's successor has started.
"At this time of the year there is not a great deal of player movement, as a result we will conduct an extensive search for the right fit,"said RailCats Vice President/General Manager, Roger Wexelberg.
