Owen Sound Attack News Release

The Owen Sound Attack are excited to announce that they have signed 2021 OHL Priority Selection third round pick Cal Uens to a standard player agreement. The Attack selected Uens with the 42nd overall pick in June's draft.

The native of Napanee, Ontario is very excited to get started and see what being a member of the Attack organization is all about. "It's an absolutely amazing feeling, this has been a big dream of mine growing up" said Uens. "To be given an opportunity to make this dream a reality means the world to me."

"I can't wait to meet everyone in the organization and get to know my teammates, but also just getting to feel all the support from Attack fans." Uens played his minor hockey for the Quinte Red Devils in the Eastern AAA Hockey League, where halfway through his bantam season he made the flawless transition from forward to defence.

Attack General Manager Dale DeGray is very excited to see what his 42nd overall pick can bring to the organization. "Cal will be a great addition to our lineup. He is an offensively minded smooth skated and very elusive player" said DeGray. "He will grow into his role very easily and will be exciting for our fans to watch night in and night out."

"We would like to welcome Cal and the Uens family to the Attack organization and look forward to seeing him in an Attack jersey come September" continued DeGray.
