The Chicago White Sox have announced the following roster move affecting the Winston-Salem Dash:
- C Jeremy Dowdy promoted to Double-A Birmingham
In 26 games with Winston-Salem, Dowdy is hitting .239 with 10 RBIs and seven runs scored. Since the All-Star break, Dowdy boasts a .306 average in 13 games. The former Appalachian State star logged short stints with Birmingham in both 2013 and 2014.
With the move, the Dash's roster stands at 23 active players, two shy of the Carolina League maximum.
