
Busy Weekend Begins Tonight For Sound Tigers

BRIDGEPORT, CT â The American Hockey League's Bridgeport Sound Tigers, top affiliate of the National Hockey League's New York Islanders, will begin a busy weekend in the community when they hold a "Stanley Cup Party" at Boston Billiards at 111 Black Rock Turnpike in Fairfield tonight at 7 p.m. All season ticket holders who have paid for their seats or put down a deposit for the 2004-05 season are invited to tonight's event. Munchies, beverages and pool will be provided until 9 p.m., and game five of the NHL Stanley Cup Finals between the Tampa Bay Lightning and Calgary Flames will be on televisions throughout Boston Billiards tonight.
The Sound Tigers Team Mascot Storm will be at Longbrook Park in Stratford to participate in Wilcoxson Elementary School's Annual Field Day tomorrow, Friday, June 4th, from 9 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. Storm and the Tiger Tunnel will then visit John Read Middle School in Weston from 7 p.m. until 9 p.m. tomorrow.
Storm and the Tiger Tunnel will also be at the opening ceremonies of the American Cancer Society's "Relay for Life" at Sacred Heart University in Fairfield this Saturday at 6 p.m. In addition, Sound Tigers Director of Ticket Sales Bill Jacob and Communications Manager / Merchandise Coordinator Danielle Nardi will participate in Saturday's "Relay for Life" along with several members of the Sound Tigers Booster Club. The Sound Tigers Booster Club and Friends Team has already raised more than $1,500 in pledges for the relay.
