Bundy Selected to Futures All-Star Game

Frederick, MD - Frederick Keys right-handed pitcher Dylan Bundy has been selected to the prestigious Future's All-Star Game. Played during Major League Baseball's All-Star Weekend, the showcase event will take place at Kansas City's Kauffman Stadium on Sunday, July 8th at 5:00 PM.

Selected upon by Major League Baseball, in conjunction with the Major League Baseball Scouting Bureau, MLB.com, Baseball America, and the 30 Major League Clubs, 50 of the brightest prospects in Minor League Baseball were selected for the event. The game features 25 of the best prospects from the United States up against 25 of the best international prospects.

Bundy is the twelfth Key selected for to play in the Future's All-Star Game. Jonathan Schoop and Manny Machado participated in the event last season, while other selections include Jake Arrieta (2008), Nolan Reimold (2006), Jim Johnson (2005), and Erik Bedard (2001).

Bundy, with Delmarva and Frederick, holds a 3-2 record with a 1.66 ERA and 63 strikeouts to 8 walks in 48.2 innings pitched. With Frederick, the 19-year old from Sperry, Oklahoma holds a 4.34 ERA through 18.2 innings.

Bundy is one of ten pitchers selected to play for the USA roster and one of two Baltimore Orioles prospects selected. Machado, who played in the game last year with the Keys, is the other Orioles pick.

The Future's All-Star Game will be televised on ESPN 2.
