
Bulls Hold off Knicks

HOFFMAN ESTATES, IL - The Westchester Knicks, the official NBA G League affiliate of the New York Knicks, fell to the Windy City Bulls, 123-108, Sunday afternoon at Now Arena.
Garrison Brooks (affiliate) led the Knicks (8-13) in scoring for the second straight time finishing with 20 points, 15 rebounds, three assists and two blocks. MJ Walker (returning rights) was inserted into the starting lineup and scored 18 points in large part to his four three-pointers made. Melvin Frazier Jr. (trade) put up 15 points. Trevor Keels (assignment) and Obadiah Noel (trade) each matched 13 points. Keels and James Akinjo (affiliate) dished seven assists.
Terry Taylor led Windy City (11-11) with 23 points and 11 boards. Marko Simonovic had 17 points and 12 rebounds. Carlik Jones and Daniel Oturo both ended with 15 points.
The Knicks led by as many as five points in the first quarter and seven in the second quarter. Windy City credited leads of its own including its largest of the first half at the intermission, up 13, 71-58. The Bulls continued to control the game working up advantages as large as 22 points before the final buzzer sounded.
Assistant coach, Devan Blair, took the helm as head coach DeSagana Diop is away at FIBA World Cup African Qualifiers.
The Knicks host the Delaware Blue Coats Wednesday, March 1 at 11 AM ET.
