Richmond, VA - The Durham Bulls beat the Richmond Braves 5-1 Sunday at The Diamond. Jeremy Cummings pitched seven strong innings to push the Bulls lead over the Braves in the IL South to six games.

The Bulls took a 1-0 lead in the third inning on an RBI single by Justin Ruggiano. Durham blew the game open with a three run fourth thanks to a critical Richmond error. Josh Johnson's misplayed ground ball with two outs fourth set the table for a three run double by Jon Weber. The Braves Mark Jurich smashed a home run in fourth. Durham tacked on another run in the sixth on a sacrifice fly by Weber.

Cummings earned the win. Jonathon Rouwenhorst took the loss. Weber, Joel Guzman, and Reid Brignac had two hits each for the Bulls. Josh Anderson had two hits for the Braves.
