
Bulls Bounce Back to Shutout Indians

Durham, NC - After the Bulls struggled to score the previous night against Indianapolis, RHP Jae Seo (7-3) and RHP Jay Witasick returned the favor by combining to shutout the Indians, while Wes Bankston and Elliot Johnson capped the scoring for the Bulls with back-to-back home runs in a 3-0 win on Friday night at the Durham Bulls Athletic Park.
The game was scoreless until the bottom of the fourth inning when Raul Casanova hit an RBI-single to score Evan Longoria from first base. Bankston and Johnson's back-to-back solo home runs came in the sixth inning, chasing RHP John Van Benschoten (9-5) from the game
Seo pitched 7 2/3 innings and left to a standing ovation. He allowed just five hits and struck out four. Witasick pitched the final 1 1/3 innings and faced the minimum four batters to earn his first save while rehabbing with Durham. Van Benschoten worked 5 1/3 innings, allowing three runs on seven hits and three walks while striking out six.
