Amarillo Bulls News Release
AMARILLO, TX - The Amarillo Bulls, 2011 South Division Champions, announced today (Friday) changes to their roster prior to the weekend series against the Corpus Christi IceRays.
The Bulls have released goaltender Eric Lipon, defenseman Bryan Drazner and forward Taylor Ward. Head Coach Dennis Williams says these were tough decisions to make.
"We are still trying to find the pieces to the puzzle," said Head Coach Dennis Williams. "The toughest one for me was Taylor Ward who we have had here for a couple of years. He is not only a good hockey player, but brings so much value to our team. Unfortunately, with the numbers we decided to go a bit younger. I wish those guys nothing but the best, and you never know we may end up bringing them back. We left on good terms with all of them."
The Amarillo Bulls will look to continue their solid play on the road tonight (Friday) when they visit the Corpus Christi IceRays at 7 pm at American Bank Center. The Bulls were successful last season against the IceRays posting a mark of 9-2-1.
Fans can tune into the action live on ESPN1440 and www.amarillobulls.com fueled by UStream beginning with The Bulls Warm Up Show Wayland Baptist University at 6:45 pm Denis J. Puska has all of the play-by-play action at 7 pm. The game is also available on Pay-Per-View courtesy of Fast Hockey and a high speed Internet connection is required in order to view the game.
