
Bullpen Struggles as Cats Fall to T-Bones

GARY, IN - The Gary South Shore Railcats could not hold on to an early lead, falling to the Kansas City T-Bones on Thursday night by a score of 8-3.
The Cats got off to another good start as Ryan Babineau knocked in Drew Martinez and Craig Maddox hit a sacrifice fly to score Josh Romanski, giving the Cats a 2-0 lead after an inning.
Craig Maddox led off the fourth with a home run, giving the Cats a 3-0 advantage. In the seventh, the T-Bones got a solo home run from Nick Schwaner and an RBI single from Brian Erie to make it a 3-2 game.
The Cats bullpen took over in the top of the eighth and it could not hold the lead for starter Stephen Hiscock. Kevin Brahney and Barry Fowler combined to give up six runs in two innings pitched as the Cats fell 8-3.
