GARY, Ind. - The Kansas City T-Bones scored eight unanswered runs in the seventh and eighth innings Thursday night in an 8-3 win over Gary SouthShore at the U.S. Steel Yard.
After putting up two in the seventh and trailing 3-2, Kansas City blew the game open with a six-run eighth. After a lead-off walk to T.J. Mittelstaedt Kevin Brahney (5-2), Danny Richar singled, moving Mittelstaedt to third. Matt Padgett then walked before Nick Schwaner added his second and third RBIs of the game with a two-run single that scored Richar and Padgett. Bryan Sabatella then singled to right, which plated Ray Sadler, who reached on a fielder's choice. Two batters later, Brian Erie doubled in Schwaner and moved Sabatella to third. The decisive blow was a two-out, two-run single from Robby Kuzdale that capped the scoring for Kansas City.
For the second straight game, the T-Bones fell behind 2-0 after the first inning. Kansas City starting pitcher Kyle DeVore gave up those runs along with one more in 5 2/3 innings.

Schwaner got Kansas City on the board with a solo home run to right, his third of the season. Kansas City would add their second run of the inning with another two-out RBI single from Erie that scored Sabatella and pulled Kansas City to within 3-2.
