Atlantic City Boardwalk Bullies News Release

ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. - The Atlantic City Boardwalk Bullies of the ECHL have announced that defenseman Chad Dameworth and forward Scott Horvath have agreed to terms on contracts for the 2004-05 season. The signings are the first for the Bullies and new Head Coach Matt Thomas this offseason.

Dameworth, 31, joined the Bullies for the second half of 2003-04 after signing a contract on January 21. A veteran of 555 career games over nine professional seasons, Dameworth helped stabilize the Bullies defense during last season's stretch run before suffering a season-ending injury in Toledo on March 27. The Marquette, MI native also skated in 10 games with the Manchester Monarchs of the American Hockey League after being loaned out on February 10.

Selected by the Edmonton Oilers in the 1994 NHL Supplemental Draft, Dameworth has 19 goals and 84 assists for his career split between 14 teams in the AHL, IHL, ECHL, and UHL.

Horvath, 22, notched 12 goals and 24 points in 60 games with the Toledo Storm and Atlantic City during his rookie season last year. Signed by the Bullies on November 29, Horvath quickly became notorious for his strong work ethic and a laser shot. The West Redding, CT native enjoyed a stretch in February where he potted 7 goals in 8 games and recorded 11 points in 10 games. Prior to turning pro, Horvath spent time at Division I UMASS-Amherst and Toronto St. Michael's of the Ontario Hockey League.
