Bullfrogs Turn to Radue in Game 1 of Playoffs

Green Bay, Wis.- The Green Bay Bullfrogs will be on the road tonight to face the Madison Mallards in a South Divisional game to begin the 2015 Northwoods League Playoffs.
The Bullfrogs will start Ryan Radue in Game 1 of the postseason. He comes in with a 5-0 record and a 3.45 earned run average in 10 starts.
Radue has gone against the Mallards twice this season on June 13 and July 31. In two starts, he combined eight innings and allowed three runs on eight hits with seven strikeouts.
Radue has 45 strikeouts 44 1/3 innings pitched this season, and the Bullfrogs have won in eight of Radue's 10 starts.
Righthander Andrew Beckwith will be on the mound for the Mallards tonight with a 3-2 record and a 3.44 earned run average in 12 appearances, including nine starts. Beckwith made a relief appearance in Green Bay on June 10 and threw three innings and allowed a run on three hits with two strikeouts.
The Bullfrogs enter the playoffs as the No. 3 seed in the South and with a win tonight, Green Bay will play the winner of the other South Division game. If the La Crosse Loggers beat the Kenosha Kingfish on the road, the Bullfrogs would host the Loggers on Tuesday night at Joannes Stadium in the second round of the playoffs. If the Bullfrogs and Kingfish win, Green Bay would head to Kenosha.
If Green Bay loses tonight's game, the season would be over for the Bullfrogs.
Green Bay owns the season series against the Mallards 5-3. First pitch is set for 7:05 p.m. from Warner Park in Madison.
