
Bullfrogs Seek Win in Last Road Game of Season

Wisconsin Rapids, WI. - The Green Bay Bullfrogs will finish up their 2014 Northwoods League season with a home-and-home two game series against the Wisconsin Rapids Rafters. Green Bay heads to Wisconsin Rapids Saturday afternoon for after a tough loss on Friday night at Joannes Stadium against the Kenosha Kingfish.
On Friday night, Green Bay struck first in the third thanks to two RBI singles by Bullfrog outfielders Brian Celsi (California) and Johnny Bekakis (Long Beach State). The 2-0 Bullfrog lead held up until the eighth inning when Kingfish outfielder Pat Porter (Ohio State) smacked a line drive down the right field line for a bases clearing triple giving Kenosha a 3-2 lead. The Kingfish later tacked on two more runs in the ninth, defeating the Bullfrogs 5-2.
Mike Ellenbest (Saginaw Valley Sate) will make his final start of the season on Saturday evening for the Green Bay Bullfrogs. Ellenbest comes into Saturday's ballgame with a 4-3 record and a 4.69 ERA. In his last outing against the Rafters, Ellenbest picked up the win, allowing just one earned run over five solid innings.
Connor McClain (Central Arkansas) will be making his second start of season for the Rafters. McClain is looking to build off his last start where he allowed two runs in five innings of work against the Bullfrogs last week. On the season, McClain holds a 0-1 record with a 9.41 ERA
Game one of this two-game series is from Witter Field in Wisconsin Rapids, Wis. First pitch is scheduled for 6:05pm.
