Bullfrogs Head to Madison After Big Win

Green Bay, Wis.- Following last night's thrilling victory, the Green Bay Bullfrogs hope to continue their momentum against the Madison Mallards tonight at 6:35 in the Duck Pond at Warner Park.

With a 1-1 tie and two outs in the top of the ninth inning against the Wisconsin Rapids Rafters last night, Bullfrogs' Paul Jacobson broke for home as catcher Kyle Devin threw the ball back to pitcher Nick Nelsen to score the game-winning run.

Garrett Harrison started for Green Bay and pitched eight innings of one-run ball. He gave up six hits, a walk and struck out eight batters.

Harrison gave way to Jeremy Graf in the ninth, and Graf put together a 1-2-3 inning to pick up the save.

Mike Ellenbest is starting on the mound for the Bullfrogs tonight, looking to build off a solid first start on May 27. He earned the win by throwing 6 1/3 innings, allowing one hit, no earned runs, four walks and four strikeouts.

The Mallards will turn to Matt Bower, who is making his first start. He made an appearance in relief on May 30 and threw two scoreless innings, allowing no hits, two walks and struck out three against Wisconsin Rapids.

The Bullfrogs will stay in Madison for the second of the two-game series on Thursday before returning to Green Bay on Friday to take on the Kalamazoo Growlers.
