Green Bay, Wis- Green Bay Bullfrogs will stay in Michigan for the last two games of a four game road stretch. The Bullfrogs take on the Kalamazoo Growlers at Homer Stryker Field at 6:05 p.m.
After yesterday's loss to the Battle Creek Bombers, who lead the South Division of the Northwoods League, the Bullfrogs move to a 2-6 record this season. Despite the Frogs early runs in the first and fourth innings, they could not contain the bats of Battle Creek after the Bombers took the lead in the bottom of the fourth.
Last night's Aurora BayCare Medical Center Player of the Game was infielder, Ty Jandrowski (Madison College). Jandrowski was on base four times with three walks, one hit and one RBI. Brad Hamilton continues to be an impactful offensive player for the Bullfrogs. After four games Hamilton has had eight hits, two runs, four RBI's with only one strikeout. Hamilton has posted a .571 batting average on the season.
The Growlers are 4-4 this season after facing the Madison Mallards, Battle Creek Bombers and the Rockford Rivets. The Growlers are in fourth place in the South Division of the Northwoods League. During the 2016 season, Green Bay split the series with the Growlers 4-4.
The Bullfrogs hope to start the 2017 series against the Growlers with a win. To do this, the Frogs need to shut down Kalamazoo's hot hitter: infielder, Jason Sullivan. This season Sullivan has eight RBIs and a batting average of .500.
On the mound for Green Bay is right-hander Andy Archer (Georgia Tech). Archer has one appearance for the Bullfrogs this season. He has three strikeouts and records a 2.45 ERA.
