Bullfrogs Face Mallards in Series Finale

Green Bay, Wis. - Tough night last night as the Bullfrogs fell to the Madison Mallards 11-5. The Mallards jumped on the Bullfrogs as they recorded 15 hits in the ballgame and hit four home runs. Bullfrogs were unable to keep up as they were only able to record four hits in the ballgame. The loss moves the Bullfrogs second half record to 12-9.

Jonah Davis (UC-Berkeley) continued his tear at the plate as they outfielder belted his second home run in as many days. Davis has hit three home runs in the last six ballgames and has eight home runs on the season.

Tonight, the Bullfrogs send newcomer Jacob Padilla to the mound. The left-hander out of the University of Dubuque will be making his first start of the season. At Dubuque, a division III program in Iowa, Padilla had a 3-4 record with a 4.64 ERA in his junior season. He held opponents to a .250 batting average and struck out 39 batters in 52.1 innings.

The Mallards, Alex Lyons (Purdue) will be making his first start of the season. In four appearances this season, Lyons has thrown 6.2 innings and has allowed nine hits with 0.00 ERA. In his only appearance against the Bullfrogs, Lyons went one scoreless inning.

First pitch from Warner Park is scheduled for 4:05 pm.
