
Bullfrogs Break out Bats for First Victory

The Bullfrogs earned their first victory of 2012 on Friday, routing the Wisconsin Woodchucks 9-0 in Wausau. Green Bay got 6 strong innings from Ben Graff. The lefty gave up just four hits on the night and earned the victory for Green Bay. He was relieved by the electric righty Bradley Wallace. In his first Northwoods League action, Wallace struck out 7 batters in three innings of work while not allowing a hit. Green Bay's bats broke out in the middle innings. They pushed three across in fifth inning, followed by three more in the sixth. Already leading 6-0, Green Bay got some insurance in the 8th from a bat that had been quiet so far this season. Justin Seager's first hit of the 2012 campaign was an RBI double to left. Nick Stein added some more runs in the top of the 9th when he pounded the first Bullfrogs home run of the season over the left-field wall. The 9-0 victory was Green Bay's first of the season. They will return home to Joannes Stadium for the weekend to complete the 3 game series against the Woodchucks. First pitch is scheduled for 7:05 PM.
