Hamilton Bulldogs News Release

HAMILTON, ON - Nathan Lawson earned his fifth shutout of the season to lead the Hamilton Bulldogs to a 1-0 victory over the Grand Rapids Griffins on Pucks & Paws night at Copps Coliseum.

The first two periods were scoreless as both Lawson and Griffins goaltender Ty Conklin made key saves to keep their perfect games intact. Conklin had faced 26 shots following 40 minutes, while Lawson had turned away 19 pucks.

Then, with 9:17 left to play in the third period, Eric Lampe scored his second of the season to give the Bulldogs a 1-0 lead. That was all Hamilton would need to fetch the win.

The 'Dogs play next on Pink In The Rink night, Friday, March 9th, 2012, when they take on the Toronto Marlies at 7:30 p.m. at Copps Coliseum in a celebration of Women of Excellence.
